Gateway Title was founded in 1989 by Daniel G. Aiken, Esq. in Lincoln, Maine. Dan remains as owner and President today. He received his law degree from Suffolk University in 1972. Prior to starting Gateway Title, Dan's practice focused on real estate law and real estate transactions.
 

General Manager, Betty Jordan, has been with Dan since 1986 and has been at the forefront of the company's development and expansion.

 

John M. Kirk, III, Esq., Gateway's Title Counsel, joined the firm in 2003. John graduated from Vermont Law School in 1991, and has specialized in real estate law since 1995.

 

Dan, Betty, and John are backed up by 21 expert paralegals, title examiners and closers who assist in resolving complicated title issues such that the end result is an enjoyable and smooth real estate transaction.

 

Under the vision of Dan and Betty, the Company has expanded to 8 branch offices, seven in Maine and one in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The company has grown by providing rapid and comprehensive commercial and residential title services. We can handle real estate transactions at a time and place that is convenient for all parties. Even though Gateway's offices are widely spread apart, modern technology enables us to work closely with one another, as though we were all under one roof, giving us the ability to print loan packages and checks at any of Gateway's seven locations. The Gateway Team strives to provide top quality, friendly, fast, cost effective service.

 

Gateway Title is an Agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Lawyers Title Insurance Company, and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.
